1. M-3A1 Halftrack Personnel Carrier Marker

Inscription.
The half-track chassis provided both good on-road performance and crosscountry mobility. First used in the 1941 maneuvers in Louisiana, the M-3 series was produced as a personnel carrier, artillery and tank destroyer prime mover and gun platform for antiaircraft and antitank guns. Side racks are for mines and crew gear; rear racks are for cargo.
