The Jackson Hotel building stands at the heart of Anoka's business district and was a vital part of the prominent role Anoka played in Minnesota as a lumbering, agricultural, milling, and commercial trade center. The Jackson Hotel once featured a cigar store, ladies' waiting room, smoking room, and confectionary. Over the years, the Hotel hosted farmers, loggers, salesmen, entertainers, politicians, and tourists.
