Eden Family YMCA Hall of Famer, outstanding player, organizer, supporter and friend of tennis, not only at the Eden Family YMCA, but throughout Rockingham County and North Carolina. Local and county tennis has made tremendous progress under Jesse Burchell's leadership.

In recognition of both his playing record and his unwavering support of tennis, this tennis center is dedicated in his honor on October 1, 2002.
