Inscription.
Founded in 1961, the center was originally located at 607 E. Myrtle Avenue, with the mission to engage adults 50+ in active life through active living. On March 31, 2000, it was the first senior center in Tennessee to be accredited by the National Council on Aging. Accreditation signifies the center holds itself to standards of excellence and ensures the highest level of service.
