A grateful Creston community remembers the sacrifices of those who served in the Armed Forces of the United States during times of war and peace, whose courage and personal sacrifices defended, ensured, and preserved the freedom of many.

only. Most of these biographies give birth places etc. of the father or son. County muster rolls not transcribed. Some have details of battles they fought in etc. not transcribed. Also see 1913 G.A.R. members lists by Club Post. A few of these seem to have the wrong regt. in book? Several names were spelled differently in muster rolls."
