Inscription.
Built by the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway (now CN) for Assistant Harbour Engineer Joel H. Pillsbury and his family, "Number One Pacific Place" was one of the first settler residences in Prince Rupert.

The distinctive gables of Pillsbury house face each of the four compass directions.
