Inscription.
The Kwinitsa Station, built in 1911, was originally located along the Grand Trunk Railroad Line between Prince Rupert and Terrace. When CN decommissioned the station in 1985, the Kwinitsa Station Relocation Committee, with help from the City of Prince Rupert, moved the building the same year by barge down the Skeena River to a site near its present location.

In 1997, due to foreshore erosion, the building had to be relocated to its present site adjacent to the Rotary Waterfront Park.
