This ca. 1890-1910 Queen Anne style vernacular 1 1/2 story farmhouse was originally located on old Rowlett Road west of Allen. It was moved to the Heritage Village in 2003. Features include original wood clapboard siding believed to have been painted white with green trim, gabled hipped dormers, wrap-around porch with horizontal ceiling joists and true framed with old growth long leaf pine wood. Cut and square nails were found in the framing during refurbishment.

Several well-known Allen families of this era have been connected to the house including Bush, Lane and Spradley. The Bose Carroll family lived in the house in 1900 and farmed the land. Ten years later his son, Bryant, moved into the house and also farmed the land. By the 1920’s this yeoman farm house had electricity.

In 2014 the Allen Heritage Guild raised funds to begin the much needed restoration process. In 2016 structural repairs were made to the roof and a new roof, porch and posts were installed. In 2017 the interior was gutted and repairs were made to floors, stairs, dormers and windows. In 2023 the City of Allen finished the restoration of the house
