Auf Empfehlung von Sergej Stankiewitsch, Berater des Präsidenten Jelzin, erhielt das Haus am Checkpoint Charlie vom Kulturkomitee der Stadt Moskau diese Gedenktafel. Sie sollte den Generalsekretär der KPdSU Leonid Breshnew ehren und war 1983 - nach seinem Tode - am Eingang seines Wohnhauses angebracht worden. Und nun, seit 1993, ist die Tafel am Eingang eines Hauses, das Menschen ehrt, die von Breshnew verfolgt wurden…
On recommendation of Sergej Stankiewitsch, consultant of President Jelzin, the Haus am Checkpoint Charlie obtained this mural tablet from the Cultural Committee of Moscow. It should honour the General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union Leonid Breshnev and was fixed to the entrance of his house in 1983 after his death. And now - since 1993 - the tablet has its place at the entrance of a house honouring the people prosecuted by Breshnev…
Sur la recommandation de Sergej Stankiewitsch, conseiller du Président Jelzin, le comité culturel de la ville de Moscou a remis à la maison Haus am Checkpoint Charlie cette plaque commémorative. Elle devait honorer le Sécrétaire Général du parti communiste de l’URSS Léonid Breshniev, et était placée en 1983 - après sa mort - à l’entrée de sa maison d’habitation. Et maintenant, depuis 1993, cette plaque se trouve à l’entrée de cette maison qui fait honorer les personnes qui étaient poursuivies par Breshniev…
