1. George Francis Hayes Marker
Inscription. Born in Stannards, NY in 1885. His family moved to Wellsville where his love of performing developed at the Baldwin Theatre. He worked on the vaudeville circuit for 25 years. Later, he appeared in many Western movies as a sidekick to stars such as Roy Rogers and John Wayne. He died in 1969 in CA.
 
Erected 2020 by The Lions Club of Wellsville. A significant historical year for this entry is 1885.
