Berliner Innenstadt in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, Germany — Northeast German Plain (The European Plain)
Berlin, 20. Januar 2003
When the building facade was reconstructed in the fall of 2002, particular importance was also attached to demonstrating how severely the city of Berlin had been affected during the war and post-war years; this has been realised by leaving one part of the old facade behind a glass curtain wall.
Thus, the future generations will always be able to see part of the overcome past as a constant reminder.
