1. Uptown Café Marker
Inscription. Built in 1883 by the Lowther family, Lowther's shoe store sold shoes and oxfords "in the patterns & colors that lead the fashion." In 1932 it became the Uptown Café, a restaurant still bearing that name at the turn of the 21st century.
