1. Solitudeschule / Solitude School Marker
Solitudeschule im Jahre 1909
The Solitude School stood here until it was destroyed in 1943. It opened in 1877–1878 as Feuerbach’s second school because the existing elementary school on Sartoriusstraße no longer had enough space. Industrialization had greatly increased the population, and the Solitude School became a visible symbol of Feuerbach’s growth. The Hohewart School opened at a more suitable location in 1952 to replace the destroyed school. A residential and commercial building now occupies the former school site.
