1. Bezirksrathaus / District Town Hall Marker

Die Grundsteinlegung erfolgte bei der Feier der Erhebung zur Stadt Feuerbach am 1. September 1907. Am 1. August 1909 konnte der fertige Bau eingeweiht werden als repräsentativer Amtssitz des Feuerbacher Oberbürgermeisters. Die Stuttgarter Architekten Ludwig Eisenlohr und Carl Weigle schufen eine rechtwinklige Zweiflügelanlage in der Tradition des späten Historismus. Nach der Zwangseingemeindung im Jahre 1933 diente das Haus als Geschäftsstelle der Stuttgarter NS-Stadtverwaltung. Seit 1945 ist es das Rathaus des Stadtbezirks Stuttgart-Feuerbach. Kulturdenkmal als Sachgesamtheit mit dem Biberbrunnen.

The cornerstone was laid on September 1, 1907, during the celebration marking Feuerbach’s elevation to city status. The completed building was dedicated on August 1, 1909, as the official residence of Feuerbach’s lord mayor. Stuttgart architects Ludwig Eisenlohr and Carl Weigle designed the right-angled, two-winged building in the tradition of late Historicism.
