1. Taglöhnerhaus / Day Laborer’s House Marker

Dieses denkmalgeschützte Haus wurde zwischen 1700 und 1750 gebaut, es gehört damit zu den ältesten Gebäuden in Feuerbach. Es wurde vermutlich von einem Tagelöhner mit Abfall-Bruchsteinen in Fachwerkständerkonstruktion erbaut. In den Jahren 2012 und 2013 erfolgte eine vollständige Sanierung. Dieses verputzte Fachwerkhaus ist ein klassisches Tropfhaus: wo bei Regen das Wasser vom Dach tropfte, war die Grundstücksgrenze. Die Tagelöhner hatten in der Regel keinen festen Beruf, sie wurden typischerweise im Wege- oder Straßenbau oder in anderen Gemeindeprojekten eingesetzt.

(English Translation)
This protected historic house was built between 1700 and 1750, making it one of the oldest buildings in Feuerbach. It was probably constructed by a day laborer using discarded rubble stone and a timber-frame post structure. The house was completely renovated in 2012 and 2013. This plastered timber-framed building is a classic “drip-line house”: the property boundary was defined by where rainwater dripped from the roof. Day laborers generally had no permanent occupation and were typically employed in road construction or other community projects.
