1. Universitätsbandhaus / University Bandhaus Marker

Das 1568 erbaute und 1786 erneuerte Bandhaus diente der Verwaltung der Besitzstände der Universität Tübingen sowie als Fruchtkasten. Im noch heute gut erhaltenen Gewölbekeller des Bandhauses lagerten der Zehntwein sowie die Bänder für die Weinfässer. 1829 erwarb die Gemeinde Feuerbach das Bandhaus und nutzte es ab 1841 neben dem Schulhaus von 1809 für Unterrichtszwecke. In den beiden inzwischen baulich verbundenen Schulhäusern ist heute die Föhrichschule untergebracht.

(English Translation)
The Bandhaus was built in 1568 and renovated in 1786. It was used to administer the University of Tübingen’s properties and also served as a granary. Tithe wine and hoops for wine barrels were stored in its vaulted cellar, which remains well preserved. The municipality of Feuerbach purchased the Bandhaus in 1829 and began using it for classes in 1841 alongside the schoolhouse built in 1809. The two school buildings are now connected and house the Föhrich School.
