1. Mohrenhof / Mohrenhof Estate Marker

Der Mohrenhof war der nach 1356 entstandene Gültsteiner Herrenhof, welcher 1391 an die Grafschaft Württemberg veräußert wurde. Anstelle dieses 1971 erbauten Wohnhauses stand das bis ins 15. Jahrhundert von einem Hofmaier bewohnte und im Jahre 1711 erneuerte Hofgebäude mit häufigem Pächterwechsel. Im Tonnengewölbe des Kellers fand man einen Schlussstein von 1504. Der Chirurgus Jakob Mohr prägte im Jahre 1800 den Namen Mohrenhof, welcher das Areal zwischen Kirche und Feuerbacher Talstraße einschloss. Seit Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts befindet sich das Grundstück Mohrenhof 1 im Besitz der Familie Henne.

(English Translation)
The Mohrenhof was a manor farm associated with Gültstein that was established sometime after 1356. It was sold to the County of Württemberg in 1391. An older farm building once stood on the site of the present house, which was built in 1971. The farm was occupied by an estate manager until the 15th century, rebuilt in 1711 and subsequently had many different tenants. A keystone dated 1504 was found in the cellar’s barrel vault. Around 1800, the surgeon Jakob Mohr inspired the name Mohrenhof, which referred to the area between the church and Feuerbacher Talstraße. The property at Mohrenhof 1 has belonged to the Henne family since the end of the 19th century.
