The Dry House, also called the Change House, is where miners changed into and out of their mining clothes and cleaned up. At the beginning of a work shift the miners hung their regular clothing in a locker and changed into their mining clothes. At the end of the shift their wet and dirty mining clothes were raised into the rafters on hooks, where the warm air and ventilation would dry them. The Dry House was destroyed by fire in 1927 and was rebuilt on the same location.

Erected by Crow Wing County.
