New Smyrna Beach in Volusia County, Florida — The American South (South Atlantic)
Tide Clock
Tide clocks rotate once every 12 hours and 25 minutes, which is the average time between high tides. The clock face has "High Tide" and "Low Tide" markings instead of hour numbers. The first tide gauge watch was commercialized in 1890 by a Swiss clockmaker.
This tide clock was created for the City of New Smyrna Beach by Brickworks artist Michael Morgan in 1999.
