1. Mittlestedter House Marker

Inscription.
This house was built in 1880 during the Victorian Era, although built by the Amerman family, Isaac and Anna, this house is fondly remembered as the Mittlestedter House.

Ernest Mittlestedter married Tennie May Presley on Mar. 19, 1916 & purchased this house from J.H. Pressley in 1927.

Tennie May passed away Nov. 24, 1960 & Ernest married Gertrude (Kenney) Gullic on Sept. 17th, 1961 and together they operated Gullic Drug Store and Restaurant.

This is believed to be the oldest house remaining in the Village of Koshkonong.

Excerpt: In 1925 Ernest and his brother, Charles, purchased the Koshkonong General Store from the Vincents. On Saturdays Tennie helped in the store. Ernest discontinued the store in about 1977 and later sold it.
