Walter’s Hot Dog Stand is significant Under Criterion C as an outstanding example of roadside architecture in New York State and is also significant under Criterion A as a landmark culinary and cultural institution in the village and town of Mamaroneck. Designed by an unknown architect and built in 1928 for Walter Harrington, the stand is a striking presence in the village, with its pagoda style copper roof and dragon lanterns.
