Inscription. Some of the finest armour in the Royal Armouries was not made for war, but for show or sport, such as tournaments. Tournaments were held both outside the city and occasionally inside the Tower. This painting is based on a depiction of King Henry VIII jousting before Queen Katherine of Aragon.
