1. The Korean War | American Linden Marker
The Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC contains a pool of remembrance which is surrounded by a grove of 40 linden trees. "Freedom is not free" is engraved on a black polished granite wall that extends into the pool of remembrance. The American Linden has heart shaped leaves.
