Dorroh Street Historic District
Located on what was then Dorroh Street, these three Queen Anne style houses were built 1895- 1907. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places, the houses comprise the Dorroh Street historic district and reflect Madison's prosperity at the beginning of the 20th century. James F. Dorroh, a mailcarrier and poet, lived at 103 Dorroh, while his brother William, a doctor, lived next door at 105. Joseph Harrell, owner of the Farr Mercantile Company, lived at 115 Dorroh. His home was the first in town with indoor plumbing.
