1. Traitors' Gate Marker
Inscription.  Traitors’ Gate is the grandest and most notorious river entrance to the Tower. 

Famous Tudor prisoners such as Lady Jane Grey are said to have entered the Tower through this watergate.

The entrance has been called Traitors’ Gate since the early 1600s. Prisoners were taken upriver from here to the Westminster courts for trial.

La porte des Traîtres est l’entrée fluviale la plus imposante et la plus tristement célèbre de la Tour. 

De célèbres prisonniers des Tudors, tels que Lady Jane Grey, seraient passés par cette entrée pour pénétrer dans la Tour. 

On l’appelle la porte des Traîtres depuis le début des années 1600. Les prisonniers remontaient le fleuve jusqu’aux tribunaux de Westminster pour être jugés.

Porta dos Traidores é a maior e mais conhecida entrada de rio para a Torre. 

Diz-se que os mais famosos prisioneiros Tudor, como Lady Joana Grey, entraram na Torre por esta entrada de rio. 

Desde o início do século XVII que a entrada tem sido designada de Porta dos Traidores. Os prisioneiros eram levados rio acima daqui até Westminster para serem julgados.

The Traitors' Gate is an entrance through which many prisoners of the Tudors arrived at the Tower of London. The gate was built by Edward I to provide a water gate entrance to the Tower, part of St. Thomas' Tower, a section of the tower designed to provide additional accommodation for the royal family.
