In the 1800s, the area around you would have been bustling with Ordnance Office workers and sailors, loading and unloading military supplies from ships.
For centuries, weapon-making workshops and houses for armourers and Tower officials stood along the Wharf.
Today many of the historic cannon are on display in the Tower.
