Inscription. Alexander Dickson was part of a long family tradition of bakers. His grandfather Peter Dickson Sr. opened the first family bakery in Mount Forest in 1860. His sons, Peter Jr., William, George and Alexander continued in the business. Alexander operated his bakery at this site until 1917. This building continued as a Bakery and Deli until 1964 including the popular Dickie's Bakery in the 50's and 60's. From 1964, Charlie Becker operated Charlie's TV and Appliances selling all appliances as well as vinyl records until 1979. After a time as a Radio Shack and The Source electronics store, Bill Nelson bought the building in 2013 for Coldwell Banker WIN Realty.
