Regarding Hill 313 Memorial. The fighting at Hill 313 on December 21, 1944 occurred on the south flank of the German salient of the Battle of the Bulge. Although the German forces were successful in forcing the Americans from their positions on this hill, the fighting occurred the day before American forces started their counterattack, thus ending any further German advances in the area.

This small sign is the only indication that one can see from the road - it is easy to miss. The steps leading to the memorial are just visible behind the sign. Since there is no parking nearby, one would have to park “informally”.
