1. Pell’s Treaty Oak Marker
Inscription. On June 27, 1654, beneath a nearby oak, Thomas Pell signed a treaty with Siwanoy Sachems acquiring the Manor of Pelham and pledging “mutual peace and love be maintained.” Fire destroyed the tree in 1906.
