Regarding Bristol World War I Memorial. 50 Pin Oak Trees were planted on May 10, 1922. 25 of these oak trees line each side of Memorial Boulevard in memory of our fallen WW I Veterans. Stone markers, located between the trees, bear the name of the soldiers or sailors who died during WW I. Some were killed in action, others died from the flu and/or accidents. - John (Jack) Denehy, Memorial Military Museum Inc.
