1. East Hale Storefronts Marker
Inscription. The potential for commerce related to cotton payrolls attracted a robust cadre of Jewish merchants to Hale Avenue in the early 1900s. Harwarg's opened in "Old Town" before moving to "New Town," followed by Beehive's, Nickol's, and Weinberg's. Silverfield's (1915) operated over 80 years in downtown Osceola.
