1. First Presbyterian Church Marker
Inscription.
Originally built in 1739 the church and parsonage was used as a meeting/store house by local patriots during the revolution. Because of this, the British burnt them down in 1779. The adjoining cemetery contains the remains of many prominent founding families as well as soldiers whom died in the revolution.
