In celebration of a 500th Anniversary commemorating the vision, courage, determination and voyages of
Christopher
Columbus
And the crews of the Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria whose gallantry resulted in the joining of two worlds then unknown to each other. We, the members of UNICO of Newburgh, and generous friends inscribed hereon dedicate this monument to the Spirit Of Exploration exhibited by the gallant Americans here from every nation.
