Pompton Lakes in Passaic County, New Jersey — The American Northeast (Mid-Atlantic)
Pompton Lakes Train Station
Built 1927
Replaced the original train station which was situated on the north side of the tracks. The New York, Susquehanna and Western lines which passed through Pompton Lakes came from Jersey City and went to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and Middletown, New York. Converted to commercial use in 1966. Constructed of rubblestone with concrete trim and a hipped green tiled roof. The train station is one of the best examples of craftsman style in the borough.
Declared a local historical landmark 2004
