Inscription. Kellogg Garden Club established in 1945 commemorated Iowa’s 150th Anniversary of statehood with the planting of the common Chokecherry (Prunus Virginiana) a native Iowa tree.

Erected 1996 by Jasper County Sesquicentennial Commission, 1996.
