1. Westmoreland County Marker

Inscription. Formed on February 26, 1773 from Bedford County, it once comprised most of southwest Pennsylvania. First seat of English justice west of Alleghenies. Site of 1775 "Hanna's Town Resolves." Greensburg, the county seat, was incorporated in 1799.

Erected 1981 by Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
