Regarding Phoenix Knitting Co. Plant #4. In 1917, architect O.C Uehling designed the Phoenix Knitting Co. Plant #4 to house Phoenix's dyeing, washing, and knitting operations. Renovated and renamed the Phoenix Building in 1980, this seven story building is home to the Historic Third Ward Association, the Herzfeld Foundation, and the Penworthy Company.
