1. Newland House Marker
Inscription. Wm. Taylor Newland and Mary Juanita Newland settled in Huntington Beach in 1898. An early civic leader and agricultural developer. Newland was a pioneer in clearing the Santa Ana River lowlands for productive farming. Restored by Huntington Beach Historical Society.
 
Erected 1976 by Orange County Board of Supervisors and Orange County Historical Commission. (Marker Number 9.)
