1. Military Stables and Barracks Marker
Inscription. This long building was used as military stables during the Revolution. On opposite side of street, stood the Barracks where British and Hessians were imprisoned during that period.
 
Erected 1950 by Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.

The northern 90 feet of this building erected on Hamilton Lots were stables during the Revolution for the equestrian uses of Washington's Army. Marked by The Lancaster County Historical Society 1932.
