More about this marker. Former Scotia Mayor and village trustee William Seyse led an effort over the year prior to the marker's unveiling at 528 Charles St., in front of Deitcher’s boyhood home, in order to get the composer recognition. The $1,000 it took to get the marker was raised locally with donations.
