A tribute to our commander
North Pickenham, England • June-December 1944

The men of the 491st Bomb Group (H), 8th Air Force, gratefully recognize our wartime commander.
His inspirational leadership, unwavering courage, and high moral standards molded us into the group with the highest rate of operation of all B-24 groups in the Eighth Air Force.
He made us "The Best."

Presented to General F. H. Miller to express our admiration and respect to a real warrior; by members of the 491st Bomb Gp Assn at their 50th Annual Reunion, 8 September 1993.

Erected 1993 by 491st Bombardment Group Association.
