The building is not listed individually with the National Register of Historic Places, but rather as a Contributing Structure within the Downtown Haines City Commercial District, which was designated as a U.S. Historic District on March 7, 1994 (NRHP reference #94000150).

The building was at one time home to Victor Wray's Pharmacy on the first floor, and a hotel on the second floor. The building was at some point enlarged to include the space formerly occupied by the Mar-Lea Theatre. At the time of this page's submission to the database, the Wray Building appeared vacant but was available for commercial/retail use.
