1. New Century Block Marker
Inscription. This splendid structure was built in 1880 by Adolf Pfister, a prominent San Jose businessman who served three times as the city’s major. The building was added to twice in later years. A fine example of 19th century commercial architecture, it has undergone several interior remodelings and was substantially renovated in 1984-5.
