1. Robert Cooley Homestead Marker
Inscription. Built in 1851, this is the birthplace of Robert Lawrence Cooley, who founded the Milwaukee Vocational School in 1912, the first of its kind in the country, and was its director until 1940. Cooley was born here in 1869 and died here in 1944.
