Edenton United Methodist Church
Prior to that time, from 1809 to 1857, the Methodist Society worshipped in Sycamore Chapel on the corner of Church and Oakum Streets.
In 1978 a new facility for Edenton united Methodist Church was begun on Virginia Road. The sanctuary was completed in 1983. It is now their house of worship.
