1. Van Dyke House Marker
Inscription. Built about 1820 by Senator Nicholas Van Dyke. The marriage of Dorcas Van Dyke to Charles I. DuPont took place here Oct. 6, 1824. At this wedding the Marquis de LaFayette was a guest, and gave the bride in marriage.
 
Erected 1932 by Historic Markers Commission. (Marker Number NC-A5.)
