1. 106th Inf Division Marker
Inscription. Near this site on 15 March 1943 the 106th Infantry Division was officially activated and became known as the "Golden Lion Division." Although badly mauled in the "Battle of the Bulge," the division stubbornly continued to fight on. The 106th saw action in the Ardennes, the Rhineland, and Central Europe.
 
Erected 1974 by 106th Infantry Division Association. (Marker Number 40-57.)
