Wardlow Home
Bruce and Martha Wardlow came here in 1896. He farmed 300 acres and was very prominent in local affairs.

Red Car
The Santa Ana/Huntington Beach Pacific Electric Spur Line began transporting people in 1909. In 1922 the line closed for passenger service and the lines were torn out in 1930. The Red Car ran along Bushard.

The streetcar line traveled north (toward the viewer) from Huntington Beach to the intersection now with traffic lights, and turned east (to the viewer's left) to Santa Ana. The historical marker is at the right side of the photo.
