1. "Historical Statement"
Inscription. The year was 1942, and citizens of Great Falls were concerned that bombings, like those of London, might occur in Washington, DC. In a time of great threats, including attacks on major cities, a handful of Great Falls area citizens came together to discuss what could be done to protect life and property, should more attacks occur here. The result of those discussions was the initial formation of the Great Falls Volunteer Fire Department.

Erected 2012 by Great Falls Volunteer Fire Department.
