1. Sherman Rose Inn Marker
Inscription. Named after the “Cloth of Gold” rose bush, the Sherman Rose Inn was built circa 1941 as a private home. In 1934, J.C. Anthon enlarged the structure for the owners, Spiro and Jennie Catachi, using his signature Carmel stone. The building was operated as an Inn until 1945. Rehabilitation was completed by Four Sisters Inns and dedicated by Mayor Dan Albert in 2004.
